ANGELES CITY – In aims of providing quality education through developed equipment and facilities, Mayor Carmelo ‘Pogi’ Lazatin Jr. personally begins distributing electric fans to Day Care Centers.
According to Lazatin, he will personally deliver electric fans to all 76 Day Care Centers in the city where he has already distributed to 17 centers from Barangays Amsic, Sta. Trinidad, San Nicolas, Pampang, Cuayan, Anunas, Sapangbato, and Margot.
“Quality education is not solely based on textbooks and teachers, but also facilities that provide a conducive learning environment,” he said.
He furthered the City Government has many more plans underway for educational development such as the ongoing accreditation process for Day Care Centers in the city where 68 out of 76 centers have already been accredited by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Regional Office III.
It can be recalled that Mayor Lazatin mentioned a P12 million budget for air-conditioning and television units for 76 day care centers in 33 barangays, as well as P5 million for the repair of these centers.
Recently, Mayor Lazatin together with his brother Pampanga 1st District Rep. Carmelo ‘Jon’ Lazatin II, turned over a P41.4 million four-storey building for Northville 15 Integrated School as a step in pushing for educational reforms.
Also assisting during the distribution are the Gender and Development (GAD) Office, City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO), and City Information Office (CIO) staff.
