ANGELES CITY – Mayor Carmelo ‘Pogi’ Lazatin Jr. will be allotting P200 million for the improvement of the Ospital Ning Angeles (ONA). ONA, also known as the Rafael Lazatin Memorial Medical Center (RLMMC), is the public hospital in the city which is in need of a major revamp.

In his interview via Lingkod Bayan Facebook live of the City Information Office hosted by Deng Pangilinan and Rudy Simeon, he said that the Emergency Room (ER) is the first to be improved.

“Yung pong Emergency Room (ER) natin dyan ipapaayos natin ‘yan. Papalakihan po natin ang ER. ‘Yan po ang unang-unang aayusin natin,” he said.

According to Mayor Lazatin, the Department of Health (DOH) extended their help to provide a budget for the ER’s rehabilitation, as well as for the laboratory.

“Sa tulong po ng Department of Health (DOH), nabigyan po tayo ng pondo na ayusin ang ER, at nabigyan din po tayo ng pondo ng DOH para yung laboratory natin ay maiayos din,” he added.

The Mayor is also positive that by the end of the year construction will start.

“Hopefully, by the end of the year ay maguumpisa na ang konstruksyon nila,” he furthered.

The Mayor also shared his plan to buy a land to extend the ONA and to double the bed capacity of the said hospital.

“May mga kinakausap na rin po tayo para sa gusto nating bilhing lupa para makapagdagdag tayo ng gusali para sa ONA. Ang gusto po natin ay maidoble man lang ang kapasidad ng ospital,” he stressed.

He then reminded the staff to be approachable and friendly to people visiting the hospital and to extend the best possible services.
