ANGELES CITY - Mayor Carmelo 'Pogi' Lazatin Jr. has ordered a ban on 'truck-traveling vendor' who sell goods at a cheaper price at Pampang Public Market.
According to Mayor Lazatin, this affects the situation and livelihood of Pampang vendors. "This is for the protection of our vendors in Pampang, sila ang naaapektuhan," he added.
"These travelers," the Mayor stressed, "do not pay taxes in the City, which is unfair to those vendors who truly work for the people, and obey the policies here."
Mayor Lazatin also reiterated he will not tolerate this, especially that the daily income of Pampang vendors' is at stake.
"Naninira pa sila ng hanapbuhay ng aking mga kababayan sa Pampang vendors," he said.
Moreover, according to Mayor Lazatin, as one of his campaign promises, he will continue to work for the betterment of the Pampang Public Market.
In fact, he added, a total of P20 million each has been allotted for the repair and improvement of Pampang this year and in 2020.
The Mayor is also confident that for the coming months, his constituents' complaints will be responded accordingly, as well as the restoration of Pampang Market's office, additional construction of restrooms, and purchase of dumptruck for the market.
He then thanked the dedication and hard work of his employees for helping to fix the said market.
According to him, there is no let up in the city's efforts to clean up the city market and the whole city.
