Cong. Lazatin vows to support AC studes

ANGELES CITY – First District Rep. Carmelo ‘Jon’ Lazatin reminded the students of Angeles City that the educational programs which he and his brother Mayor Carmelo ‘Pogi’ Lazatin Jr. initiated here are not from them personally, but from the taxpayers’ money.

“Wala kayong utang na loob sa amin ni Mayor Pogi, whatever programs we are conducting and giving here to you and your school, is from the pocket of the taxpayers,” the Congressman said.

Moreover, Chief of Staff Atty. Kercee Lazatin, representing her father during the groundbreaking and time capsule laying ceremony of four public schools in the City, said that the Angeles City Government will always support students.

“I can assure you all po that the Local Government Unit of Angeles is always here to support you, to work for the betterment of the city,” she added.

A total of P95,230,460.58 will be allotted for a 23-classroom 4-storey building in Claro M. Recto Information and Communication Technology High School; 16-classroom 4-storey building in Jose P. Dizon Elementary School in Barangay Pandan; and 4-classroom 2-storey building each in Salapungan Elementary School and Sitio Pader Elementary School in Barangay Balibago.

Meanwhile, Vice Mayor Vicky Vega, for her part, reminded students to strive harder for their future.

Joining the ceremony were Department of Education (DepEd) Angeles City Schools Division Superintendent Leilanie Cunanan and Engineer Norma Cabigting, and other school staff.
