ANGELES CITY – Mayor Carmelo ‘Pogi’ Lazatin Jr. is in urgent search for an area for displaced ambulant vendors, since some of them still defy the order to clear public sidewalks.
He bared this to the listeners of Lingkod Bayan, the Facebook live program of the City Information Office every Thursdays, 10am-11am, hosted by Deng Pangilinan and Rudy Simeon.
Lazatin also explained that out of 400 displaced vendors in the said market, the available stalls inside are just around 170. At the Pampang Public Market, 70 merchants will be transferred.
With this, the Mayor appealed to the sellers to schedule their work day.
Meanwhile, he also asked the public to lengthen their patience and understanding about the clearing operations.
The Mayor also shared that he ordered the barangay executives regarding the operations.
After this, according to him, he met with City Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO), Gender and Development Office (GAD), City Engineering’s Office (CEO), Business Permit and Licensing Division (BPLD), Sanitation, Angeles City Police Office (ACPO), and Angeles City Traffic Development Office (ACTDO) to conduct the continuous road clearing.
More than this, he added, he also required the barangay council to initiate regular clean-up drive in their respective areas.#
