Lazatin reforms LCPC

ANGELES CITY – To protect the rights of children from any abuses, Mayor Carmelo ‘Pogi’ Lazatin Jr. reassembled the Angeles City Local Council for the Protection of Children (LCLPC).

He signed Executive no. 23, series of 2019, or “Reconstituting the Angeles City Local Council for the Protection of Children and identifying its composition, duties, and functions, and other purposes.”

It can be recalled that the Mayor already stressed his stand against the exploitation, discrimination, abuse, and cruelty against children.

Since starting his term, the Angeles City Government already conducted continuous search-and-rescue operations of street children, who will later on be turned over to the City Social Welfare and Development Office.

Lazatin also had recent dialogues with reformation centers and Tuloy Foundation, so that children will have a place to stay.

Moreover, Councilor Jay Sangil, also Chairperson of the Committee on Social Services, said that E0 23 would cater all the programs for the benefit of children.
