ANGELES CITY – Mayor Carmelo ‘Pogi’ Lazatin Jr. will propose a P2.5 billion budget for 2020 and appeals for the public to trust his administration.

“For year 2020, I am proposing a total budget of P2.5 billion,” he said during his meeting with the Rotary Club Cluster 3-C at Rib Eye Function Hall here.

According to the Mayor, he is eyeing to brand Angeles as the ‘most caring City’ under his watch, so he will allocate P200 million for the improvement of the Ospital Ning Angeles (ONA).

“I want every Angeleño to have access to free yet quality medical attention. I want this city to be branded as the most “caring city” under my watch,” he added.

Mayor Lazatin also said that bulk of the budget proposal is for social projects – P20 million for livelihood of farmers, persons with disabilities and solo parents, P10 million for social pension of senior citizens, P3 million for social pension of solo parents, P12 million for feeding programs of undernourished children and day care students.

Moreover, the Mayor vowed to improve schools in the City, as well as strengthen peace and order to reduce crime rate here.

He also wants to clear the 33 barangays from the illegal drug menace.

And most importantly, he added, is to listen to the needs of his people and respond to them by giving quality services.

“I appeal to all of you to help and trust my administration. For I vow that I will lead this city to progress, where the marginalized, the middle class and rich can build a better future together,” he said.
