Lazatin orders release of City Hall employees’ year-end bonus, cash gift as early as November 16

ANGELES CITY – Mayor Carmelo ‘Pogi’ Lazatin Jr. today, October 5, ordered the city’s Local Finance Committee to release the City Hall workers’ year-end bonus on November 16, 2020.

In his Memorandum No. 1160, Series of 2020, Lazatin asked the Local Finance Committee composed of City Budget Office, City Accounting Office and City Treasurer’s Office, to compute and prepare the year-end bonus of City Government employees.

“Let us ensure that our government workers still have financial security, even amidst the challenges presented by the COVID-19 pandemic,” Lazatin said.

A total of 1,316 employees in City Hall – 980 permanent, 321 casual, and 15 contractual – are to receive the tax-free year-end bonus, equivalent to one-month basic salary, amounting to a total of P32,542,594.

Apart from this, the employees will also receive P5,000 cash gift, amounting to a total of P6,580,000.

The grant of year-end bonus is in accordance with Republic Act (RA) No. 66861, as amended by RA No. 8441, and under the Department of Budget Management Circular No. 2016-4.

Contract of Service (COS) employees are also qualified to the P3,000 cash incentive, which they will receive in December, amounting to a total of P8,415,000.
