Mayor Lazatin signs EO for public road clearing ops

ANGELES CITY -- Mayor Carmelo 'Pogi' Lazatin Jr. has signed Executive no. 33, "Directing the Angeles City Police Office (ACPO) to clear all roads and alleys in the San Nicolas and Pampang Public Market from all ambulant vendors and other obstructions."

This is in compliance to President Rodrigo Roa Duterte's order thru Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Memorandum Circular no. 2019-121, directing all public officials from the grassroots level to exercise their power to reclaim public roads, and rid the same of illegal structures and obstructions.

With this, Mayor Lazatin wants DILG to coordinate with the local barangay officials and ACPO to implement the public clearing operation. It can be recalled that the Angeles City government has conducted simultaneous random clearing operations in some barangays. #LDF
