Lazatin orders procurement of P5M worth of children needs

ANGELES CITY – Mayor Carmelo ‘Pogi’ Lazatin, Jr. has procured P5 million worth of milk and other children’s needs to be distributed to poor children.

The P5 million budget was originally appropriated for feeding of malnourished children in the City.

Lazatin ordered the Barangay Nutrition Scholars (BNS) and Barangay Population Worker (BHW) to check the needs of poor families with children.

However, Lazatin stressed that he personally promote that breast milk is best for infants.

“But in times like this, we have to make sure that children are taken cared of,” Lazatin said.

The City Government also asked the help of Angeles City Culiat Jaycees to help the City acquire diapers and other children’s needs.

The help for children will be distributed door-to-door based on the household survey of the BNS and BPW.

Distribution is tentatively scheduled on April 8, 2020.
