55,000 senior citizens to receive P1k assistance

ANGELES CITY – A total of 55,815 registered senior citizens will receive P1,000 financial assistance from the Angeles City Government.

This was announced today by Mayor Carmelo ‘Pogi’ Lazatin, Jr. thru an advisory posted in the City Information Office (CIO).

Lazatin has allotted P55.815 million in the City’s Supplemental Budget No. 2 to cover the financial assistance.

“Kahit maliit na halaga lamang ay makatulong ito sa ating mga kababayan,” Lazatin said.

Lazatin said the financial assistance will be delivered house-to-house.

Earlier, this week the City Government has started delivering Vitamin C to senior citizens in the City’s 33 barangays.
