ANGELES CITY – The pumping stations of the AM Gatbonton Drilling Corporation in Barangay Cuayan and Sto. Domingo were ordered closed due to lack of business permits and violation of tax.

Mayor Carmelo ‘Pogi’ Lazatin Jr. personally inspected the location recently, with Vice Mayor Vicky Vega, Executive Asst. V Raffy Angeles, Business Permit and Licensing Division (BPLD), City Engineering Office (CEO), City of Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO), and City Health Office (CHO).

According to the inter-office saturation operation reports, Lazatin said the Gatbonton pumping stations located in the respective barangays are operating without necessary business permits, national resources water board permit to operate, environmental compliance from the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), and other needed requirements.

The Mayor also added that he will be strict when it comes to the much-needed requirements for a business to operate.

He then mentioned that there is nothing wrong in regulating and monitoring the business establishments in the City.

For him, he just wanted to assure that all is in accordance with the law, everyone is complying with the City’s rules, and no one is above of any policy
